RU is a Bible-based recovery program offered at no cost to anyone in Florence and the Pee Dee area struggling with addiction — and to the family members walking beside them.
People come to RU for help with alcohol, opioids, fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, meth, prescription drug misuse, marijuana, pornography, gambling, and other destructive habits. You do not have to decide whether your struggle “counts” before you walk through the door.
You will find practical teaching, individual and small-group counseling, a personal mentor, and a community that understands recovery is built one honest day at a time.

Doors open at 6:45 PM on Fridays. Follow the RU signs near the entrance closest to Jordan’s Furniture Store.

The main recovery meeting is Friday at 7:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:45 PM. The Sunday recovery class starts at 9:15 AM. Use the entrance closest to Jordan’s Furniture Store and look for the RU signs.
Plan your first meetingCan I come if I am not a church member?
Yes. Meetings are open to everyone, and you do not need to belong to Florence Baptist Temple. RU is a Christian program with Bible teaching and prayer. You can listen during your first visit without pressure to share your story.
Can my family come with me?
Yes. Friends and family members are welcome, and they can also contact the team for support of their own. Nursery care and programs for children and teens are available at no cost while adults attend.
